Kashara "Shara" Marshall Reed is the older sister of Quavo from Migos. A viral video from her wedding involving her former partner raised her online profile, where she enjoys a moderate following across various platforms.
She defended her little brother when a famous ex-girlfriend claimed that he had been unfaithful. The mom of three also wrote a raw message of remembrance on what would have been her nephew's birthday in mid-2023.
Shara Reed, Quavo's Sister, Is 'Really Big Bro Too'
After the death of their father when they were young, the Marshall siblings, Treet, Shara, and Quavo, were raised by a single mother, Edna Maddox, a beautician. They relocated from Athens, Georgia, to Lawrenceville in Gwinnett County when Quavo was in middle school.
The rapper was only three when he became an uncle to his eldest sister's son, Kirshnik Ball, who would become known by the moniker Takeoff. The siblings also have an older half-brother, Willie Bands, on their dad's side.
On Shara's birthday in July 2020, Quavo wrote, "Happy Birthday To My Beautiful Sister @migo_shara Love You 4L. She Really Big Bro Too." She no longer uses the Migo Shara account but has a thriving community of 86.6K on @reed_family5.
The digital creator posts about her life as the mother of three girls with her husband, Jay Reed, on her socials. She is credited for doing hair and makeup for her mom in a GQ article the matriarch appeared in with Quavo.
Saweetie's aunt tweeted soon after, mocking Shara.
Shara came into the spotlight when Saweetie, who was dating Quavo at the time, caught the bouquet at her May 2019 wedding. The Migos leader shared a video of the wedding tradition, hinting that he and Saweetie might be next.

Quavo's Sister Defended Him after Saweetie's Cheating Claim
Saweetie and Quavo had a messy breakup involving a video of them fighting in an elevator and their family trading barbs. On March 20, 2021, Shara wrote on IG Stories she had been "quiet long enough" on the "bash fest" against her sibling, adding:
"None of y'all know how Saweetie is in real life, but I do, and it ain't good at all…"
Whitney Harp, Saweetie's aunt, tweeted soon after, mocking Shara for saying she's been "quiet long enough" when it had only been 24 hours since the news came out. She insisted that she would not allow Shara to speak ill of her niece.
Shara Reed 'Always' Made Her Slain Nephew Takeoff's Birthday 'Special'
"It's 2:10 a.m., and I'm up looking through old pictures and videos from all of your birthday celebrations, and this one made cry," Shara wrote on June 18, 2023. She added:
"Because I have always made birthdays special when it came to you [Takeoff]; ask anyone they will tell you! I'm always the loudest and proudest!"

Shara remembered how he made her an auntie, and she always felt it was her job to protect him. Takeoff was reportedly an "innocent bystander" when he was shot dead outside a Houston club on November 1, 2022.
Quavo said in a mid-2013 interview that Takeoff was "basically like a brother." Takeoff agreed, "I don't look at him as my uncle, but more as my brother."
