And Kalou, 35, held his new shirt aloft upon his arrival.

In addition to skipper Honda, Kalou will be joined by fellow Premier League alumnus Diego Cavalieri.

The Brazilian goalkeeper had a blink-and-you'll-miss-it spell at Liverpool a decade ago, while also briefly popping up at Crystal Palace in 2018.

Botafogo have become Kalou's third club since leaving Chelsea in 2012, following decent spells at Lille and Hertha.

The 6ft attacker made 254 appearances for the Blues, scoring 60 goals in the process.
