That looked painful.
A marriage proposal at Dodger Stadium went terribly wrong on Thursday when an L.A. fan stormed the field and was tackled by security during the team’s 8-2 win over the Diamondbacks on Opening Day.
In viral videos on social media, Ricardo Juarez — who is seen wearing a Mookie Betts jersey — appeared to jump over the outfield wall and sprint to center field, before getting down on one knee and hoisting a ring box in the air.
The resulting bumps and bruises were likely worth it, as Juarez later revealed his girlfriend said yes.
As the crowd cheered him on, a security officer blindsided the kneeling Juarez with an NFL-like tackle, knocking his hat off of his head.
“Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” by the late DMX then began blaring through the stadium’s speakers.
Three security guards pinned down the on-field intruder and appeared to handcuff him.
Multiple videos online showed the melee from various angles.
In a fan-captured clip, Diamondbacks left fielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. can be seen reacting to the tackle with his arms in the air.
“Oh! No way,” someone can be heard yelling repeatedly in another video.
Juarez — who is a sushi chef, according to his Instagram — revealed that he and his girlfriend, Ramona Saavedra, are engaged.
“She said YES,” he wrote on Instagram, where he included a TikTok video of his proposal and added “I love her” in Spanish.
Saavedra confirmed the engagement in a separate Instagram post that featured a video of the proposal.
“Tad bit extreme but he’s a LEO,” she joked in her caption.
“What can you expect. And of course I said YES!”
Saavedra added in a separate post, “Marry, now he’s in jail guys.”
She appeared to be sitting somewhere behind center field, where Juarez was staring before he was sacked by security.
