50 Cent brought out Eminem during his Michigan stop on his Final Lap Tour. On Monday (Sept. 18), Fif uploaded a video to his X/Twitter showing off the genuine moment.
“Bro, when I do anything with EM, people just go crazy; they know he really my boy. I love him till death!” the Queens native typed. In a separate video, Fif showed off his Detroit stop with the crowd losing it to Eminem’s guest appearance. “EEW, this is nasty Detroit, The Final Lap Tour,” he captioned the footage.
During both performances, Em and 50 could be heard rapping “Crack a Bottle.” The track served as the lead single from Em’s 2009 comeback LP, Relapse. After the track, Em showed love to his hometown and to Hip-Hop. He then gave love to 50 Cent, referring to him “as one of the best friends I’ve ever known.” “Don’t f**king act like you ain’t know I was gonna be here,” Eminem said. “Detroit, make some noise for one of the best friends I’ve ever known: 50 Cent. And also, make some noise for Hip-Hop’s 50th birthday, y’all.”
Slim Shady’s appearance on the tour makes sense, considering the Final Lap Tour is celebrating 20 years of Get Rich Or Die Tryin.’ Eminem appeared on two tracks from Curtis’ debut album. The two connected on the fan-favorite “Patiently Waiting” and “Don’t Push Me” featuring Lloyd Banks.
Earlier this year, Fif spoke about returning to the lab with Em. He told Rolling Stone that, while nothing was set in stone, he was looking forward to starting something.
“I started to find material that can get things going because I always like to find material I think is hot before I go to Dre and Em. [I like to figure out] what I would like the record to feel like, the body of it, and then I can find pieces that I need while I’m around them,” the rapper said. “And then I go back and finish up and [finish the whole thing]. I need to make something that creatively is coming from me so it has to have the pieces.”
